New 2027 Subaru Ascent for sale in Fruitland, ID
Treasure Valley families who need a third row without giving up the traction they moved to Subaru for end up at the 2027 Subaru Ascent. It is the largest vehicle Subaru builds, and it pairs eight-passenger capability with the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive that makes a winter run over to Ontario or up into the mountains a non-event.
All five trims share one turbocharged BOXER engine, one drivetrain and one 5,000-pound tow rating, so the choice comes down to equipment. Stateline Auto Ranch Subaru breaks the lineup down below.
2027 Subaru Ascent Performance
V
The 2027 Subaru Ascent uses a 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER four rated at 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, and the useful part is where that torque lives: it is available all the way from 2,000 to 4,800 rpm. Loaded with people and gear on a grade, that flat delivery is what keeps the engine from feeling strained.
Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard on every trim, paired with a Lineartronic CVT that offers a selectable eight-speed manual mode and paddle shifters. X-MODE is standard across the range, and from the Limited up it becomes X-MODE Dual Mode, which adds a dedicated Deep Snow and Mud setting alongside Snow and Dirt. Hill Descent Control is standard throughout.

- Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive standard on every trim
