The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid offers an engaging driving experience with an all-new hybrid powertrain producing 194 combined horsepower. For 2026, the Crosstrek Hybrid’s next-generation Subaru series-parallel hybrid system features a newly developed 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine that now makes 162 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque. The new hybrid system consists of two electric motors, a high-capacity lithium-ion battery and a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission.

The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid comes standard with Subaru’s legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as well for enhanced driving range and off-road capability. All Crosstrek Hybrid trims boast 8.7 inches of ground clearance with an approach angle of 18.0 degrees, and the compact hybrid SUV will include a new EV drive mode and X-MODE with Hill Descent Control for low-traction situations.

The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid has new exclusive 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels as well as two new exterior colors, Sand Dune Pearl and Citron Yellow Pearl, which are exclusively offered on Crosstrek Hybrid models. Inside, the 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid has seating for five passengers and 18.6 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats.

With the seats folded, it offers an expanded 54.7 cubic feet of cargo space. For 2026, the Crosstrek Hybrid will include desirable interior features such as an optional panoramic moonroof and durable seating surfaces, and the compact SUV offers generous passenger room, including 38.7 inches of headroom and 42.9 inches of legroom in front plus 38.9 inches of headroom and 36.5 inches of legroom in the rear.

The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid now offers a new 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster with navigation and Apple Maps compatibility, which is available for the first time in a Crosstrek. The Crosstrek Hybrid gets an 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen featuring SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia Plus and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ integration with full-screen display. Additional in-car tech includes Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming connectivity, SiriusXM All-Access Radio and Travel Link (4-month free Platinum Plan) and over-the-air updates for the multimedia system.

Advanced EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on all Crosstrek Hybrid trims, and it has been upgraded to deliver an enhanced experience with smoother, quicker operation. Improvements include updated control software, a wider field of view and the addition of an electric brake booster. While using Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, the new standard Emergency Stop Assist feature will stop the vehicle, activate hazard lights and unlock the doors if the driver becomes unresponsive, while SUBARU STARLINK Connected Services will place a call to emergency services.
